Website Content
The content on this website is provided for general informational and promotional purposes. We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that every page, offer description, price, date, or service detail will always be error-free or fully up to date.
If there is a conflict between this website and a signed written agreement, invoice, proposal, order form, publishing contract, coaching agreement, or other written agreement between you and WPC, the signed written agreement controls.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all website content, copy, graphics, images, downloads, designs, logos, service names, program names, and other materials on this website are owned by WPC or used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, modify, distribute, sell, or use our content for commercial purposes without written permission from WPC.
You retain ownership of your own manuscript, book idea, submitted materials, writing samples, creative work, images, and other materials you provide to WPC, subject to any separate written agreement you sign with us.
Inquiry Forms, Ideas, and Submitted Materials
When you submit an inquiry, writing sample, manuscript excerpt, idea, title, concept, or other project information to WPC, you are voluntarily sharing that information so we can evaluate whether our services may be a good fit.
Submitting an inquiry does not create a publishing agreement, client relationship, confidentiality agreement, agency relationship, or obligation for WPC to provide services.
WPC will use submitted inquiry information only to evaluate your project, respond to your request, and determine whether our services may be appropriate. We do not claim ownership of your submitted materials.
You understand that general ideas, themes, concepts, titles, formats, genres, and subject matter may overlap with other works WPC reviews, publishes, develops, or supports. Submission of an idea or project does not prevent WPC from working on other projects that may involve similar general themes, topics, or concepts.
Please do not submit a full manuscript unless WPC specifically requests it or you are using an approved submission process.
Project Fit and Right to Decline Work
WPC is a non-traditional publishing company that works with authors and projects that align with our mission, values, capacity, and areas of support.
We reserve the right to decline a project, recommend a different service, recommend a different publishing path, or determine that WPC is not the right fit. We may consider factors including, but not limited to:
- manuscript stage
- project goals
- timeline
- genre or subject matter
- content risk
- permissions or copyright concerns
- retailer or distributor guidelines
- team capacity
- alignment with WPC's mission, values, and service model
Services and Publishing Packages
WPC offers publishing-related services that may include, but is not limited to, publishing packages, author coaching, consulting, editing support, design support, production support, card deck publishing, marketing support, community resources, and other related services.
Specific deliverables, pricing, payment schedules, timelines, refund terms, ownership terms, royalty terms, revisions, and responsibilities are governed by the written agreement, quote, invoice, proposal, or contract connected to that service.
Website descriptions are summaries only and may not include every detail, limitation, or requirement.
Pricing and Payment
Prices listed on the website are subject to change unless confirmed in a written quote, invoice, order form, or signed agreement.
Some prices are starting prices. Additional fees may apply for things like: longer books, books over stated page limits, complex interiors, image-heavy projects, special formatting, developmental editing, additional revisions, hardcover editions, audiobooks, marketing management, or other added services.
Payment plans, installment schedules, deposits, retainers, and due dates will be described in the applicable invoice, order form, proposal, or contract.
Deposits
Some publishing packages or services may require a deposit to reserve a place in WPC's schedule, begin setup work, prepare project materials, draft agreements, or otherwise hold capacity for the project.
Unless a written agreement states otherwise, deposits are non-refundable once paid. If a deposit is applied to a publishing package or service, that application will be described in the applicable agreement, invoice, or proposal.
Cancellation Before Publication
WPC wants authors to understand the process, the investment, and the next step before a book moves forward.
For publishing package work, an author may generally cancel before publication, subject to the terms of the signed publishing contract or service agreement. If a project is canceled before publication, WPC may stop future scheduled payments or review whether any portion of payments made should be refunded based on:
- work already completed
- services already delivered
- third-party costs already incurred
- project setup already performed
- files, designs, edits, consultations, or materials already provided
- the terms of the signed agreement
Refunds are not automatic unless required by the signed agreement or applicable law.
Refunds
WPC does not offer an unlimited money-back guarantee.
Refund eligibility depends on the service purchased, timing of cancellation, work already completed, deliverables already provided, third-party costs incurred, and the applicable written agreement.
For consulting or coaching, completed calls or sessions are generally not refundable once delivered.
For publishing packages and production services, refunds are generally not available for work already completed, third-party costs already incurred, or services already delivered.
For projects canceled before publication, WPC may review payments made and work completed to determine whether a partial refund, credit, cancellation of future payments, or other resolution is appropriate.
Unless a signed agreement states otherwise, refund requests must be made in writing.
No Refunds After Publication
Once a book has been published, made available for sale, uploaded to a retailer or distributor, released publicly, or otherwise launched, refunds are generally not available for publishing package work or production services connected to that publication.
This does not limit any rights or remedies that may be required by applicable law or a signed written agreement.
Process Commitment
WPC is committed to a collaborative process, transparent pricing, and clear checkpoints before publication. Our goal is to keep authors informed, involved, and supported as the project moves forward.
This process commitment is not a guarantee of book sales, reviews, retailer placement, bestseller status, media attention, income, audience growth, or any specific commercial outcome.
No Sales or Outcome Guarantees
WPC may provide publishing support, production support, marketing support, guidance, coaching, community resources, or promotional services depending on the package or service purchased.
However, WPC does not guarantee:
- book sales
- bestseller status
- reviews
- media coverage
- bookstore placement
- retailer acceptance
- advertising performance
- social media growth
- author income
- audience size
- awards
- rankings
- specific distribution outcomes
Distribution availability, retailer listings, search visibility, reviews, ads, and sales may be affected by third-party platforms, algorithms, retailer policies, market demand, author participation, book quality, price, category, keywords, timing, and other factors outside WPC's control.
Retailer, Distributor, and Platform Rules
Authors are responsible for providing truthful, lawful, and accurate information and materials for their books.
Retailers, distributors, printers, advertising platforms, and payment processors may have their own rules, review processes, content policies, eligibility standards, timelines, and restrictions. WPC is not responsible for third-party platform decisions, delays, account actions, rejections, removals, suppressed listings, advertising limitations, or changes in platform policy.
Copyright, Permissions, and Third-Party Materials
Authors are responsible for ensuring they have the rights, licenses, permissions, and releases needed for any materials they provide, including but not limited to:
- text
- song lyrics
- poetry
- quotes
- images
- illustrations
- photographs
- artwork
- AI-generated materials
- names, stories, or likenesses of real people
- references to businesses or organizations
- legal, medical, private, or sensitive information
WPC may ask questions about these materials to help identify possible concerns, but WPC is not responsible for independently verifying all rights, licenses, permissions, or legal risks unless a written agreement specifically states otherwise.
WPC is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Authors should consult an attorney when a project involves legal, copyright, privacy, defamation, trademark, permissions, or other risk questions.
AI-Generated Content
If an author uses AI tools to create manuscript content, cover art, interior art, illustrations, images, marketing materials, or other assets, the author is responsible for disclosing that use to WPC when asked and for understanding the copyright, ownership, retailer, and platform implications.
WPC may decline, modify, review, or request replacement of AI-generated materials if they create quality, ownership, originality, platform, ethical, or retailer concerns.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for:
- providing accurate information
- responding in a timely manner
- reviewing drafts, proofs, edits, designs, and project materials
- providing required approvals
- disclosing relevant risks or third-party materials
- meeting payment obligations
- following the signed agreement
- participating in the process as needed
Delays in author responses, approvals, payments, or materials may affect timelines.
Confidentiality and Privacy
WPC respects author privacy and project materials. We do not intentionally share private submission materials except as needed to evaluate, perform, administer, or support the requested service; comply with law; work with contractors or service providers; or as otherwise described in a signed agreement or Privacy Policy.
Authors should not submit highly sensitive personal information unless requested and necessary.
Contractors and Third-Party Providers
WPC may use contractors, vendors, editors, designers, formatters, printers, distributors, software platforms, payment processors, advertising platforms, and other service providers to deliver services.
WPC is not responsible for service disruptions, policy changes, delays, outages, or decisions made by third-party platforms or providers outside WPC's reasonable control.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WPC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the website, services, third-party platforms, or publishing outcomes.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold WPC, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and representatives harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of:
- your breach of these Terms
- your violation of law
- your violation of third-party rights
- materials you submit or provide
- claims related to copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, defamation, permissions, or other rights in materials you provide
- your use of the website or services
Changes to These Terms
WPC may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this website with a revised date. Continued use of the website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state identified in WPC's applicable written agreement or, if no written agreement applies, the state where WPC is legally organized or headquartered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
